One4Support has recently introduced a new FREE notification facility: When a selected system is off-line for a predetermined maximum period an "alert-email" is generated and sent automatically to any valid email-address.
Another option is that a SMS text message can be sent to a mobile phone or other text-enabled device instead of an email, or both can be sent simultaneously; text messages will be charged separately.
